Emanuel Cardona
Does anyone know of a book that compiles all the things the Bible says to pray for? Thank you so much!
Daniel Francis
Your request brought this book to mind. All the Prayers of the Bible I never read it but had heard good things about it over the years it couldn't hurt to look at it on the amazon site to see it it might fulfill your needs. -Dan

ukfraser
depends what you are after (and assume you have done a search using the english word and its hebrew and greek original) but i have thoroughly enjoyed ' has god finished with israel ?' by rob richards published by monaarch publications in 1994 and by word publishing in 2000. (Though its more focussed on biblical prophecy which was often a trigger for prayer, fasting and behaviour change.) Rob is a really entertaining speaker. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Has-God-Finished-Israel-Richards/dp/1911211366/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1462015027&sr=8-1&keywords=Has+god+finished+with+israel Edited April 30, 2016 by ukfraser

I will check it out. I was in the process of preparing a prayer guide listing all the things (or at least try my best to include first and foremost the imperatives) the Bible says to pray for so that it may serve to help those young Christians that are having a hard time thinking of something to pray for. Then I thought I'd ask on here if there is such a resource out there.
ukfraser
You actually got me to open Accordance on my mbp though I would normally do this on the iPad for my own use. From a search for pray I got and you can look at each to determine if its what you want to include but nothing stopping you creating your own list ;o) Total number of verses = 117 (total number of verses displayed = 117) pray (121 total words) Number of different forms = 22: Pray = 17 G1289 deomai de÷omai = 1 G4667 proseuchomai proseu/comai = 4 H06983 ‘atar rAtDo = 2 H07137 palal lAlDÚp = 4 H08626 sha’al lAaDv = 1 (No Key number) = 5 pray = 104 G0160 aiteo ai˙te÷w = 1 G1255 deesis de÷hsiß = 3 G1289 deomai de÷omai = 4 G2263 erotao e˙rwta¿w = 2 G2377 euchomai eu¡comai = 4 G4472 poieo poie÷w = 1 G4666 proseuche proseuch/ = 1 G4667 proseuchomai proseu/comai = 40 H05528 na’ aÎn = 2 H06983 ‘atar rAtDo = 5 H07137 palal lAlDÚp = 26 H07924 qara’ a∂r∂q = 1 H09384 tachanun N…wnSjA;t = 2 H09525 tefilla hD;lIpV;t = 3 H10612 tzela hDlVx = 1 (No Key number) = 8 But from the ipad, i get the following screen shot and you can just check the verse for what is being prayed for and if its what you want and then just copy and paste into word or something under a heading ot tag I know it takes effort, but, at least it covers what you want, where books are always a compromise ;o) ;o) Edited April 30, 2016 by ukfraser

It will sure take some effort I was thinking ... how do I search for the verb "pray", "intercede", or the like (in the original languages) in the imperative mood creating a sentence that gives an order or command? Emanuel Cardona
Thank you everyone! I truly appreciate it. I am trying to do a Greek construct search for προσεύχομαι in the imperative mood. Does anyone know how to do this?
Λύχνις Δαν
Hi Emanuel, I picked up a book recently that I've not yet used much called Synopsis of the Pauline Letters in Greek and English by James P. Ware. See my post for a module request here : http://www.accordancebible.com/forums/topic/18087-synopsis-of-the-pauline-letters-in-greek-and-english In any case I wondered if Ware had a classification for prayer or something like it. He does, categories 12 Prayer, 13 Request for Prayer and 150 Instruction Regarding Prayer. I am not dead sure that these cover what you are after but after a quick look some at least might be relevant. Here are the refs. 12 -> Rm 15:5-6, 15:13, 15:33, Eph 3:14-19, 1Thess 3:11-13, 5:23-24, 2Thess 2:16-17, 3:5, 3:16 13 -> Rm 15:30-33, 2Cor 1:11, Eph 6:18-20, Phil 1:19-20, Col 4:3-4, 1Thess 5:25, 2Thess 3:1-2, Phil 22 150 -> Rm 8:26-27, Rm 12:12, 1Cor 14:13-19, Eph 6:18-20, Phil 4:6-7 Col 4:2-4 1Thess 5:17-18, 1Tim 2:1-4, 2:8 Of course this is only the Pauline epistles but might be of interest. Thx D
