I am increasingly working in Eastern Africa and was wondering if there are any plans to get a Swahili Bible into the Accordance system in the near future. Millions of people here use a Swahili Bible of some sort! Seems like there is plenty of choice in regard to "Western" languages but not many 3rd world? If it is free of copyright or etext restrictions, you can post it to the Exchange for others to download. If you send us information on a good version that is widely used, and who owns it, we can look into acquiroing a license for it. Swahili is a lingua franca in southeastern Africa, spoken by between 80 million and 150 million people. This puts it in the same class as Punjabi, Bengali, and Javanese as a highly-used language without an Accordance Bible module. However this also depends on the demand, which has been minimal so far. I would love to see User Bibles import improvements as I have wrote so many times. I have to invest many hours to find an adjust a Bible for an existing verse mapping and get only a clunky result. This time I would better to invest to adjust the Bible for the correct verse mapping and have then one which matches perfectly. So I have to invest the time anyway, but Accordance don't let me do a better result which is very frustrating. Swahili is the common tongue throughout many East African nations, including Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda, and it would be good to have a Bible to teach from or to prepare material from.
