I possibly will be

COMPLETE JEWISH BIBLE WITH NOTES

so accordance already has the translation (EDIT: just noticed the translation was updated for this release).... I have had it on my wish list for a long time but it is a low priority with me.... I am very interested in a deeper understanding of Messianic Jews, and use to talk with many through a BBS system back in the early to mid 90s. I am wondering if this would be similar to his

JEWISH NEW TESTAMENT COMMENTARY

or far less in depth (I have not used it but again thought about possibly buying it before).

Ah, that reminds me of FIDO net. I used it from the mid 1980's until I got the Internet-In-A-Box kit about 1994. At times I do miss the BBS era--but not for too long. Now to relate to the thread topic, a very good friend has used the CJB for quite a few years as his primary text, because of the cultural insight he feels it provides, and highly recommends it.

I have the jewish nt notes but use the annotated jewish nt more. I find the jnt notes to be very variable, when good, very good, but mainly on the background.

And would prefer the second version of the jewish study bible ( be interested in knowing how well the original jsb has sold in accordance)

I've been hoping for the second edition of JSB for a long time.

It pays to follow the forums! I was not aware that the second edition of the JSB is out.  I highly value 2004 version I have in paper form and I will purchase the 2nd edition in electronic format when it is available!

Yep, i bought the paper forms of both the jsb and the annotated jewish nt before they were in accordance and then got them electronically as well.

I tend to hold off these days and wait for things to come out in accordance, as there are plenty of other things to get that are unlikely to ever come out. Currently getting a number of svs publications. ;o)

Still living in hope for the oxford annotated study bible.

Though this thread has made me go back and look at the jewish new testament commentary again.
