Dear Accordance Developers

The German-speaking part is a very wealthy and open market. We are traditionally very interested in complete solutions with professionality.

As a excited user from Swizzerland I often advertise Accordance in my christian environment. Especially Bible-school-students seem to be very interested in your Products.

I appreciate hardly, that Accordance is available in German System language.

Because you know, many people do not have very good English-skills.

Did you know, that the Elberfelder Bible, Schlachter Bible and the Luther Bible are the most common and seriously used bibles in Germany, Switzerland and Austria? Two of these bibles you already sell in your shop, the Schlachter 2000 Bible and the new Luther Bible.

I guarantee you, that the New Elberfelder Bible is especially in the universitary level and in many common german-speaking bibleschools recommended and used.

I encourage and please you, to provide the New Elberfelder Bible for Accordance.

It is the most closly translated version to the Hebrew and Greek Texts.

Please think about it seriously: We are ready for you. We know, that you surely have many other language demands, for example spanish. I personally have Spanish blood, but I am convinced, that the German-Speaking-Part is ready for a Upgrade of your offers. the average German, Swiss and Austrian has enough skills and openness for modern Software. Please expand your Offers for German-Speakers.

Especially I ask for a tagged Version of the Schlachter 2000 (TR) and the Elberfelder Bible (NA). The New Luther Bible is mixed with TR/NA, so I think it is not yet needed.

But the Schlachter 2000 Bible and Elberfelder is like your NIV, very close to the Hebrew and Greek.

I understand, if you have to prioritize your expansions and projects.

But again I claim sincerely, that the German market is ready, wealthy and highly technology-friendly waiting for you.

Please offer the New Elberfelder Bible online.

Please offer a Tagged Version of the New Elberfelder Bible and Schlachter 2000.

If you need more information about the German-Speaking part, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Grace and Peace from our God, the father, be unto you.

Flavio Wirz

I second the request for the new edition of the Elberfelder Bible. At the same time I would also enjoy seeing some of the more readable Translation added (with or without Strongs) like the very popular "Hoffnung für Alle."

http://www.accordanc...-bible/?p=88493Like the NIV very popular.

The Elberfelder 2006 from the Brockhausverlag is like the NASB.  I would very love to see this in Acc. This translation is very popular for exegesis.

The Elberfelder CSV based on the Elberfelder 05. The publishers has started to tag their Bible with Strong's. I would love to see this in Acc. when finished. A man has tagged this Bible but the publisher didn't like the tagging and has started a version which is more accurate in their eyes. (Infos from personal e-mails to me).

The Neues Leben Bible a german version of the New Living Translation 2 is very popular too in the german speaking world.

Greetings

Fabian

It really, really would be great to have german tagged bibles. Specially of the new Elberfelder (wich not even is offered --> for German users a real weak point in the Accordance Library), Schlachter und Luther Bibles. But anyway it would be great to have more ressources in German (for example lexicons from biblical Languages to German --> Kittel / Bauer / Gesenius...).

The people in accordance will have all the figures on actual number of each volume sold over time but attached is the current best sellers in international texts.

We continue to work on licensing more international Bibles, including German Bibles tagged with Strong's numbers. All I can share now is that we are negotiating with publishers. I hope to have more I can share soon (months, not weeks).

3 Minutes before Tim's post I get the permission from Harper Collins to use the G/K Numbers to tag a Bible.

Now I'm waiting till I get the license from the copyright holder from the German Schlachter Bibel. But the contact person is in holiday right now.

Greetings

Great news tim.

I appreciate that the folks at accordance have limited resources and have to juggle priorities as well as licenses.

While a number of us want more english titles, i think that ensuring that there are tagged texts available in all other languages is probably a higher priority as we have a reasonable selection now in english and original languages.

Tagged texts are just soooooooo indespensable (once you have experienced them, the major plus for me when i switched to accordance from zondervan bible study package on windows where i thought the parallel resources was great)!

Question: would a tagged New Testament be sufficient? Or would you prefer we only include whole Bibles that have been numerically tagged?

Regardless of tagging, we realy need the updated Elberfelder (2006) in Accordance. It has been 10 years since its publication. The current Elber in Accordance uses the old German spelling.

So everytime I copy a verse from Accordance to a document I think about how much time I need to update all those references once the current version is available.

Hello Tim

I'm sure you know my statement, but for others. Even if there is only a tagged NT this would be helpful.

In general add so many NT's and full Bibles as you can get. German and from the whole world.

German texts:

NT

Münchner Neues Testament with Notes, and Study material.

First NT later full Bible

Leonberger Bibel

Full Bibles

Luther 1912

Elberfelder 1905

Schlachter 1951

Luther 1984 tagged by Ben Misija

Full Bible in preparation, but I don't know how far they are.

Elberfelder 2009 edition CSV

Greetings

Fabian
