Hebrew User Bible Possible?

I'm going over the Help file on the current 11.2.2 Mac version of Accordance and I'm not clicking on how I might go about creating and importing a Hebrew Old Testament User Bible.  Is it possible to do this?

I did an unpointed one for Jonah from the Tanakh.us source.

It was a little funky in that it was left justified though rendered right to left but it had the content.

I actually did it before 11.2 but here is how it looks in 11.2.2

Well, I do appreciate you getting back to me with what you were able to produce.  It may be such that I rather need to create an external resource type to Accordance and link to it.  I'm contemplating starting with Genesis in Ginsburg's Massoretico-Critical Edition of the Hebrew Bible and see how that pans out.  Maybe just chapter 1 to start.  I'm finding that large projects actually get done if I take them on a teaspoon full at a time.

I'd need to have linked references to the notes that appear at the bottom of each page in this Bible, so maybe ePub or web pages would work better than trying to square-peg this into Accordance.

Thanks again.  BTW, I like your Hebrew name change.  Very cool.  I may just follow suit.

You may want to try a set of User Tools because you could have links embedded in one referring to the other. I did something like this with the Roman Missal, having the calendar in one tool and the lectionary verses for the cycles in another. I don't know how you would automate that to create the whole bible text but a chapter done manually would show you the the issues involved. Perhaps even a UT with links to an external resource might be a good compromise.

Regarding the name change - FYI there is a limit of the number of name changes in a 90 day period - 3 times if I recall. So try to get it right the first time or so, so you don't have to run for a while with an error.

Thx

Thanks for the tip there, דָּנִיֵּאל; I appreciate your thoughts.

If I can figure out a way to do this as an internally accessible Accordance resource, that would be nice.  An on-disk resource would be OK.  If I do this to share with other folks, I'll need to check my Windows Accordance install to see how things may differ there.

I *believe* that I got my name OK for the forum.  I like it this way.  Like your name, mine is a good one with a good meaning and heritage behind it.

Personally I like the Hebrew names, but do remember that not all our readers know Hebrew, and to them your names may as well be in cuneiform.

I'd probably go with Ogham before Cuneiform, but that's just how I roll...   :)
