Brett K.
I'm sure I'm missing something so please forgive me. I've been looking over the help for an hour and can't find the answer.I used to be able to press command+option+; and Accordance would show all verses in my text pane. That does nothing now. Is the keyboard shortcut gone or changed? Also, I've been searching Accordance help for an hour trying to find any reference to that keyboard shortcut. What is it called? I searched on "show all", "find all", "reset", etc. I added "verses" to my "show all" and "find all" searches. It found nothing on any of them. None of the category descriptions for keyboard shortcuts really fit so I had no idea where to look. I scanned through all of them but found nothing. Please help.Frustrated. Thanks -- Brett
Λύχνις Δαν
Hey Brett, I'm not exactly following your explanation. Where is it that you have all these verses ? Are they on screen in a tool for example ? Perhaps you mean you have some verses displayed in a text search tab because context is not set to A and you want to switch the context to A in one shortcut ? For the former there is cmd-click on one reference brings up all the refs in the same paragraph in a text tab. For the latter I don't know - I feel sure I remember that there was one but I cannot find it now. hope this might help some Tx D
Helen Brown
I cannot find this keyboard shortcut in the current help, nor in the full manual for Accordance 7 where we tried to document every shortcut and keyboard effect.
Solly
Helen, thank you for the reminder of the location for the extensive list of shortcuts and keyboard effects.
Brett K.
I went through every page of Keyboard Shortcuts in the help and found it on this page: "Accordance.app/Contents/Resources/Accordance Help/Default.htm#topics/10_ref/kb/menu_item_shortcuts.htm". Opt+Cmd+ ; Toggle Search and clear the Search Entry box So it is still listed in the help, but it does nothing in Accordance. Or at least it does not do what it used to do. Any idea. Thanks
Brett K.
Can anyone confirm whether this keyboard shortcut is still functioning normally for them. Accordance help says: Opt+Cmd+ ; Toggle Search and clear the Search Entry box That has always worked for me. Now it does nothing. Has something changed?Thank you -- Brett
Timothy Jenney
Doesn't Tab+Delete do the same thing?
Brett K.
Thanks, but no it does not. It sounds like not to many people were using this command. I used it *ALL* the time. When you pressed COMMAND+OPTION+; it would jump to the search field, clear it, insert an *, and perform a search so you started with a fresh text, the entire text displayed, gen 1.1. in the window. Was this command removed? I used it all the time. It's in the help files, and now the command does nothing. What's going on?Thank you -- Brett Edited August 19, 2016 by Brett K. Timothy Jenney
Ah, I understand now. The * (asterisk) is no longer necessary to display all text. Just Tab to the Search Entry box, press Delete to clear the current Search, and hit Return/Enter.
Brett K.
So was the keystroke removed? I know it's minor, but comd+opt+; saves a couple of keystrokes. Even if I had the cursor and selection in a text pane, hitting that keystroke:1. Shifted focus to the search field2. Inserted an *3. Performed the searchNow it's:1. Press Tab to move focus to the search field.2. Press Delete.3. Press Return.I likde cmd+opt+; better. If it is gone, you guys may want to either add it back or update the help files. Can we get an official word on what happened to it?Thanks-- Brett Edited August 19, 2016 by Brett K. JonathanHuber
I know it's minor, but comd+opt+; saves a couple of keystrokes.... Unless I'm missing something, Tab+Delete+Return is actually the same number of keystrokes.
Brett K.
You are correct. I'm just accustomed to pressing those three keys ( cmd+opt+; ) simultaneously. It's muscle memory now. Since cmd+; toggles verses and words. I hit it often. Throwing in the option key is reflex at this point.tab, delelet return is pressing tab with my left pinky, then delete with my right pinky, then return with right pinky. Just not as smooth for me.It's not a crisis or anything, but I still have the question of what happened to cmd+opt+;Did it go away? Was it specifically removed? Is it coming back? Will the help files be updated to reflect the current functionality. Edited August 19, 2016 by Brett K.
JonathanHuber
I agree the old shortcut seems just a bit simpler and might as well be left in if it's not used for anything else.
Joel Brown
Responding a bit late, my apologies! It seems this was inadvertently removed in 11.2 - we'll add it back next release.

Brett K.
Did this go away again? I'm using 12.1 and command+option+; no longer shows all verses. It just toggles between verses and words like command+;.Am I missing something? Are you guys having a coder's war over who can keep or get rid of the feature? :-)Thanks
