scotwhid
At the present time, opening the Daily Reading always defaults to the current date. It would be nice if you had the option of starting your daily reading on whatever date you wanted, e.g.. begin Genesis 1:1 on Sept 1st as opposed to January 1st, and have it remember this change each day the program was opened. Helen Brown
This would require a significant amount of programming (otherwise we would already have done it). How important is it to other users?
EricC
… have it remember this change each day the program was opened. I'd just like it to remember where I was. I never want it to open to today's date. I think this is important. I just leave that workspace open to the page (date) I last read. I find I usually read several at a time, never just one a day. jessepeterman
This is something I've been really wishing accordance had recently (on Mac and iOS particularly). I have a "hacked" daily reading workspace setup on Mac as a workaround where I just manually type in the new date and go at my own pace. It doesn't seem the programming would be too complex. Instead of getting the current date from the system, you would just add a daily reading start date setting to toggle on or off, with a date selector field. Please add this! Ιακοβ
It's worth the effort if the whole thing is re-worked really well. (i.e. a major feature)
Alistair
i can see the value in this, but it might be simpler to find another or create a standalone app just to do daily devotions.
