Tabs within a window freezing up

Tim Goldsmith

Recommended Posts

Since I upgraded to Sierra, the tabs within my research window are playing up big time. I have multiple tabs open for NT, OT, Secondary text & graphic study, but it is taking me up to 20 or 30 clicks to get a tab to open at the moment.

Is this something that others are experiencing?

I've attached what comes up when I'm clicking on a tab that I want to open. The Shift-apple-3 doesn't appear to show the cursor, but the tab that is open in the far left one, but the tab I'm clicking on is the one next to that.

Helen,

I am having the same issue and lots of trouble last night when looking for images.

When I try to click on images, they wouldn't open up.  Also, when I select books in the library or in the research pane, they wouldn't open.

Thought it might be my mouse (Logitech M325), so I switched to an Apple bluetooth, but it didn't make a difference.

Running: macOS Sierra, Accordance 11.2.4

Hi Mithril.
I'm using 11.2.

I've noticed today that the "Library" section isn't working properly either. I can't get any of the sections in "Tools" to open up. Odd

Please upgrade to 11.2.4 which is ready for Sierra, and then report back to us.

Mithril is a level of a forum participant, not my name!

Helen,

Have 11.2.4 and not yet released 11.2.4.1.  Still having issues with tabs, selections in library, and table of contents in resources also.  Earlier this morning, I finally did get Zondervan Bible Atlas to open up...took 20 clicks.

Thanks Helen and your team!

I'm 11.2.4 still freezing everything. Like Joe, tabs & library selections & research selections are all requiring multiple clicks to open if they do at all.

Helen,

Didn't help.  I'm using an Apple Bluetooth mouse.  I know there are issues with Sierra and mice.  Neither my Logitech, nor the Apple work.  When trying to open Zondervan Bible Atlas...takes quite a few clicks.  Then, can't navigate through table of contents.

Helen,

The only workaround that I have found with the tab, mouse issue is a program called DwellClick by Pilot Moon (using in "trial mode" and working).  When you move the mouse to a place that you would normally click, it does it for you.

I just found it and working (using with Apple Mouse).  I just upgraded my Mac mini hd and downloaded Sierra.  Though I had another image, I did want to stick with Sierra if possible.  Thus far, it is working.  I will be using tomorrow and will let you know.

I didn't download 11.2.4.1 and it didn't make a difference for the issues that I was experiencing.

I am having the same problem with mouse clicks not working (Accordance 11.2.4, macOS Sierra 10.12, Mac Bluetooth mouse). Sometimes it takes 20 clicks for a book in my library to open, other times it works like it should.

I have also noticed that the active open book in my library was a weird drop shadow on it (see screen shot). Look at the word "Exodus" in the center column of the screen shot.

Just an update. I upgraded my system software to MacOS Sierra 10.12.1 and am still having the problem with the Apple Bluetooth mouse not working properly in Accordance library entries. However, I am not having this problem with other programs that have a similar interface with drop-down menus (like Adobe Bridge and Adobe Dreamweaver).

Yesterday, I updated to Accordance 12...and it seems the "tab" issue is gone!

And...can now click on books and select items in table of contents...of which I had trouble before (many clicks).

By the way, using same mouse (Logitech m325) as before and running macOS Sierra 10.12.1

It seems you have to go the way like Joe.

Greetings
