Copying text from NA28-T

Hello,

Just a basic question: how do I copy a text from the NA-28T module without the critical apparatus symbols? I tried the different "Copy As" options, but none of them does this. This sort of option doesn't appear in "Greek Export" in Preferences either.

Thanks.

Same here - NA28-T pastes with apparatai, but the UBS5 w. sigla pastes correctly

Copy as No Superscript doesn't work?

Hi Helen,

No, none of the options in "Copy As" was able to remove the NA28-T sigla from appearing.

Yes, I confirm. I think because these are special characters and not true superscripts, they are not being treated like the superscript letters used in BHS and USB. I don't know if this is a bug or a change, or a known limitation. You could of course copy from a text without sigla. GNT28-T should be identical text-wise.

Yes, but Mr. Roberts also said that the UBS5 with sigla does this correctly (well, if that's what he meant). Maybe this is just a formatting issue in NA28-T.

This module does have issues, unless it was fixed recently, apparently searches don't work properly either (again assumedly due to the special characters), just avoid it.

UBS5 uses alphanumeric characters as sigla to indicate textual notes. Accordance is already programmed to omit or hide these based on their same formatting as other Bible texts. NA28 is different, and would require additional programming to hide or omit them. However, if one owns NA28 and UBS5 it is very likely that they own GNT28, which does not contain the sigla but is the identical text to NA28 and could be used to copy / paste for those (rare?) instances where the sigla are not wanted. UBS5 for that matter is also the same text with only very minor differences in punctuation and use of capital letters in some cases.

I do not experience any issues with searching the NA28.

Thanks for the feedback.
