mrderek
Hi there One feature I use most when reading Greek and Hebrew is the word frequency function in instant details which appears when I hold command and hover over a word. Is it possible to put the frequency on default so I don't have to hold command to see the word frequency? Derek
Michael Hunt
Someone else may correct me but I don't think so. Here's why:- Initially instant details seem to come directly from the "tagged" text (NA28 or BHS in my case). Override details (what you get whenever you press the command key) come from whatever dictionary you set up in the Accordance preferences pane. I believe this is where the word count numbers come from. So (and I am only surmising here) unless the tagged text is updated to include word counts I don't think this is possible. Ιακοβ
Im not sure that is right, because can't you configure what is shown when you do a mouse over? Perhaps you just need to change which resource is displayed when you mouseover?
Michael Hunt
You can but it is only a limited set of options
Steve King
If you try moving from word to word instant details is pretty instantaneous. If you use cmd and then move the cursor over a series of words there is a definite time lag, at least on my system. There is obviously a lot more going on when cmd is used. I appreciate it includes going to a default lexicon but the word frequency does not come from your default lexicon or any lexicon because the relevant lexicons would have to have the frequencies from either English/Hebrew/Greek and the frequencies for each key number and the frequencies for each inflected form. It seems likely that is either pre-calculated and stored somewhere else (for each separate text) or it is calculated as the word is selected for that text (which I think is more likely - but then again what do I know?). Moving the word frequency information to the 'standard' instant details may well affect the response of instant details in its normal mode.
