Crash when adding user item to stack in Acc 12

I have a workspace which includes a pane for a stack. This has some objects in it and it has been named. Workspace is shown below.

 

 

If I open this workspace and then click on "Add User Item" Accordance quits.

 

On some investigation what actually happens appears to be that when I click on "Add User Item" in that particular stack it actually adds it to "My Stack" not to the stack I have open (but crashes immediately). If I first add something to this particular stack so that it becomes the 'default' and then click "Add User Item" it works.

 

Running Accordance 12 on El Capitan (10.11.6) on macbook pro.

 

Note that selecting a particular stack to add to only seems possible from the Selection Menu. It may be helpful to have that available when you right click (which only allows to add to your current stack - which defaults to "My Stack")
