Martin Z
Maybe I'm still not understanding the way to define range. Eph; Phil 3-4; Col; 1-2 Timothy; Titus; Phlm Eph, Phil 3-4, Col, 1-2 Timothy, Titus, Phlm Here is the result (1-2 Thess are included): Eph, Phil 3-4, Col, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, Phlm (I believe the correct result, 1-2 Thess not included):
Λύχνις Δαν
Hey Martin, In the first image above it looks like the name of the range might not be the one shown in the Define Range dialog. It seems to show some additional characters before the "NT Seminar" bit. Is that so ? If so what is the definition of that range ? I also cannot see what the search text is. Thx D
Martin Z
Hello Daniel, The name does not matter. It was for a specific class. I chose not to disclose it, cause it is irrelevant. I edited it before taking the screenshot. I have already given the range of the text in the post. I'm wondering why they make such difference. Thanks, Martin
Λύχνις Δαν
Hi Martin, I see now. The issue is with 1-2 Tim as opposed to 1 Tim, 2 Tim. This is not peculiar to define range. If you just put those ranges into a search box it has the same result. Looks like a bug. Curiously if you type 1-2Tim into the search box itself you get an error, but when it follows something else it is accepted and give this result. If you enter "Eph, 1-2Th" you get Eph, Phil, Col and 1 and 2 Thess. Thx D
Martin Z
Yes. Looks like it pulls out all the text in between the first and list reference, not just those specified. It has given me trouble. I've been memorizing the vocab from 1-2Th which I'm not responsible for in this course. The Final exam is on Friday, and I still have a lot vocab to catch up...
