I've now purchased 4 different WBC volumes, and am considering my next one. I would like to get clarification for the meaning of the purpose of the discount code:

 

Use coupon code 3WBC to get at extra 10% off the purchase of three or more WBC modules

 

I had assume that it was the intention of this coupon code to indicate that if you purchase three individual volumes at the same time you can get a 10% discount, however or is the purpose of this discount code to allow those who already have some volumes to expand upon their set at a discounted rate?

 

(Im trying to decide if long term I start collecting these in print or in Accordance—the accordance price is about 20% more expensive than purchasing the hardback print versions in my country)

The coupon is only for the purchase of 3 or more at the same time. Sadly, the royalty structure imposed by the publishers, and the extra work required to offer and maintain the individual volumes, dictate the prices. The sets are priced more advantageously, and we do offer payment plans.

Publishers sometimes seem their own worst enemies. I noticed the ther day that a hard copy set of the 10 volume NIB at a major Christian book store was $60 cheaper than the introductory pricing of a softtware company. Now a software edition should be available as cheaply as a hard copy set in a store. Indeed maybe even cheaper as there is no physical production/delivery costs. I am dispointed that the publishing industry as a whole will not embrace electronic formats more. Bible software in the end tends to be a much more secure electronic format than say amazon that anyone can easily remove DRM from.

No worries, I've been known to rant about this from time to time as well, although perhaps I am becoming a bit more pragmatic about it with age.

 

I know purchasing as a set provides a better discount, but I actually prefer "The New International Greek Testament Commentary" (the volumes I have engaged in seem to be more precise/less verbose than the WBC), So for me WBC supplements the NIGTC when needed.
