easy install does not work properly

I uninstalled Accordance using the control panel in Windows 8.1 and re-installed it (v12). I did this because I had missing module paid updates that I purchased but would not install.

 

I think that what I am about to say has nothing to do with v12 because I had similar issues in v11 with  the same missing modules but now I have even more missing. I say the updates and modules are missing because I have another computer that I originally used with Accordance that has these "missing" modules and updates on it.

 

1) Easy Install downloads then says it installs the module but it doesn't really install it, occasionally it crashes during install. Then the modules show up on the easy install screen as uninstalled but the files and folder are actually in the programdata/modules dir and I can install them manually with the + button at the bottom of the lib. I don't download all my modules at once but rather in increments

 

2) Since easy install shows the module as missing then you keep down loading it over and over but it never gets installed unless you do it manually. Actually I can't  manually install Greek Manuscripts from CSNTM.

 

3) I started keeping track of file and folder counts in the text and tool module dirs and comparing to my #1 original good computer that I have never deleted or reinstalled on and its counts are higher than those on the one that I have been having a problem with and telling you about. Good pc #1 has 407 files, 206 folders in texts and 1566 files,644 folders in tools whereas the bad computer #2 has 398 files, 199 folders in texts and 1532 files,625 folders in tools

 

4) I do not get the carrots pointing to the right for Ultimate edition to expand its contents like for other modules like photoguide and cntms.

 

5) Some modules show up in the library multiple times in the same category as well as in other categories.

 

6) Paid update says I need to purchase upgrades that I already own.

 

I think it is messed up because the file/folder counts also I am missing modules that I purchased.

 

I am convinced now that it is not my personal error but it wholly resides with Accordance because a clean new install is more messed up than the old one! :-) The reason I did the uninstall/reinstall is that I foolishly removed some modules from my lib rather than delete them so that meant Easy Install did not know they were missing. I had to rely on my memory to add them back. However I forgot which ones I removed. :-(

 

Please don't  mark me down for having 3 licenses used because I removed and reinstalled on same pc.

 

Any hints or clues for me to try before you guys get to this will be appreciated.

p.s. Billy and I have been chatting about this and most of the above is in an email. After the re-install it seems better to start a post where a running status is available and I can add new results until you guys get to it..
