Syntax Search - Word Count Bug?

Hello everyone,

 

I've previously reported on an issue related Greek syntax search and the resulted word counts:

Unfortunately, I'm stilling having problems with the results of the word count in Accordance after I've done a syntax search.

I’m trying to do a very simple search, but the statistics don’t cohere with the data displayed in the text window (see screenshot attached).

 

I would very much appreciate any comments or corrections, since I'm not sure whether this is a bug in Accordance or I've just missed something.

You don't state the version you are using but it repro.s like this in 12.0.1. Your version looks like 11.x.

 

Also the analysis lists 18 hits :

 

Total number of books = 1
  (total number of verses displayed = 9)

[LINK Greek Construct] left-to-right —> (9 total words)

        θεός    god, God = 18
 

My guess is that the INDEPENDENT CLAUSE hit is being counted also and that's why you are getting twice the number of hits as can be accounted for by θεος. That makes sense to me though but in the analysis tab not so much as the clause hits are not analyzed, but only the words. If the clause hits were broken out clearly in both cases that would clarify things.
