New Heart English Bible (based on WEB)

I would like to request that the New Heart English Bible be added as a downloadable bible.

It's public domain and available for free.

It's based on modern scholarship (BHS and UBS5/NA28). The English rendering is based on the World English Bible (WEB).

Hello terevos

You can do easy for yourself.

You only have to change a few things.

Names of the abbreviated Books:

Jdg to Judg

Sol to Song

Phi to Phil

Phm to Philem

Best you use TextEdit, download via their HP or from the App Store. For free.

search then for "^Jdg" (without the quotes) with activated Grep search and Entire Word. And replace it. See post-32723-0-08029200-1480524593_thumb.png and do so the the two others.

Delete the intro so that it start with Gen 1:1

Change the sentence in < and > to 1:0 and delete < > So you got 2 Verses for example:

from Psa 3:1 <A Psalm by David, when he fled from Absalom his son.> LORD, how my adversaries have increased. Many are those who rise up against me.

to Psa 3:0 A Psalm by David, when he fled from Absalom his son.

and Psa 3:1 LORD, how my adversaries have increased. Many are those who rise up against me.

And you have to seek all empty verses, like "Acts 24:7" and change it to "Acts 24:7 --". Best you use a grep search in TextEdit like "(\d+) \r" and run the search. post-32723-0-27855300-1480526298_thumb.png or search and replace it with "\1 --\r" post-32723-0-19474700-1480526460_thumb.png It would be great if Accordance would handle verses with -- as non existent so the verse count are correct. Please add fine tuning.

Change it on the bottom to Western (Mac OS Roman) and as Txt. Line breaks Legacy Mac OS (CR) post-32723-0-57810500-1480524786_thumb.png

Save it.

Import it as KJV verse mapping. See http://accordancefiles2.com/helpfiles/OSX12/Default.htm#topics/05_dd/importing_bibles.htm%3FTocPath%3DDigging%2520Deeper%7CImporting%2520Bibles%7C_____1

Or if you have the TLAB Bible from Accordance you can import without the verse changes, but I believe he has only done the 0 verse in 1 because a lot other Bible software can't handle 0 verses, but Accordance can.

I got a malware warning when I tried to visit that public domain Bibles site

Me too but this is most if a website is on a malware list. It is not say there is a Malware. Only its on the list!

Thanks. The manual import thing is kind of nice. I edited and corrected all instances of 'Gehenna', 'Tartarus', and 'Hades' from the imprecise word 'hell'. I included 'Yahweh' instead of 'LORD' because that's what I prefer. And I made a few other modifications that I think bring the text to up to better faithfulness. Of course, now I have a bible version that no one else shares, but hey - I'll enjoy it.  :-)
