Why is it that when I do a search for the root of SWS in Isaiah 35:1 the results don't return that  same root in noun form from v. 10?  Tried in both Biblia Hebraica and BHS.  Looks like same root form?  Thanks!

A root search in HMT-W4 worked for me.  It found the verbal occurrence in Isa 35:1 and the nominal occurrences in 35:10; 51:11; 60:15, etc.  In total the root search generated 65 hits.

I entered the search as שׂושׂ+

How did you enter the search?

Thanks Mike.  The '+' must be the key.  I just need to learn more about using the search function.  Thanks for your help.

Happy to help.  Glad that it's working for you.

Yes, the + indicates that it's search for the root as opposed to the lexeme.  If you do a typical lexeme search with = you'll find only the word, not all related words from the root.

I find going through the contextual menu is ideal.  Then I can see in plain text what type of search I'm getting and avoid having to remember the form of the command.  So for this one you can see and choose exactly what you want and Accordance will do the formatting of the search for you!
