full screen problems

I've been having a host of intermittent full screen problems with accordance. 

 

This is with accordance open full screen on my external monitor. The white space only appears with the NT Studies tab, not the other.

 

Here, for some reason, the two tabs are taking up two different fs windows. But, as you can see, the 'James' tab is nonexistent in the window that bears its name and switching tabs works as it should in the legit accordance fs window (labeled after the NT Study tab, but actually containing both tabs).

 

Here is accordance moved out of FS, but still claiming a FS window, as seen in mission control.  

 

Here, the white bar from the first image is a black bar. Also, despite what the button says, this is actually full screen as demonstrated by the mission control pic of the same problem.

 

This is full screen also. 

 

for some background, all of these problems occurred today within the span of a few minutes as I documented the first problem (the white bar above the window in full screen). I've got no full screen or graphic issues in general in any other program. Also, I've got plenty of machine to handle any of this. 16gb ram, SSD, everything up to date. Any help?
