Λύχνις Δαν
Hi ya, Acc 12.2.0.2 Mac 10.11.6 I was chasing something else and tried this search somewhat by accident. It appears to return hits where there is a null element preceding an S element. Sometimes the null is a subject and sometimes it's something else. This looks like a bug but if there is a reason why this is correct could someone explain it to me ? Thx D
Marco V. Fabbri
I didn't expect this to work, as we have a null in the first column, but I am certainly not displeased. The search results look correct. You may even do without the "any nominative" element, and would find the subject of participle in different cases. I won't be able to spare much time in the next few days, as I will be on a week's journey and I will probably have to work on an iOS device. However, if you have more interesting points, or if you wish to discuss some specific results, I will look at the thread when I am back.
Λύχνις Δαν
Looking at the results it looks to me like it's not really working or I my assumptions about how construct searches should work are slightly off. I had been expecting it to match null sbujects but in fact it matches a null before a subject. It seems to be that a single column in the search is matching multiple elements which was not what I was expecting. It looks like the NULL is being applied to the element before the one to which the SUBJECT/ANY nom is being applied. I thought that wasn't possible for a search with members arranged directly vertically like this. It looks like it's doing this sort of search : In fact this seems to produce very similar numbers of hits in the same number of verses. It was something of an accident that I even tried the first search above. Perhaps Joel or someone could explain how it works. Safe travels Marco.
