A. Smith
I've been working between two workspaces (not concurrently). One uses a fixed ID window, the other uses a floating window. Now, on the workspace that should have a fixed window, I've got two. One fixed, one floating. I've restarted the app with the same results. However, if I toggle off ID from the toolbar, the floating window disappears on the first click. The button still shows a 'depressed' or 'recessed' graphic. Then, If I click again, the fixed window goes away and the button looks as it should when no ID is selected. If I then click again only the fixed window returns (as it should be). If I repeat the process, opening the workspace with a floating ID, closing it, and then opening the workspace with the fixed ID, I get the same thing all over again. It seems that the app won't accept two different modes of ID in two concurrent workspaces. That is understandable. If I select fixed in one, it becomes fixed in the other and vice versa. However, I'm certain that there is no circumstance in which two ID windows should be displayed. This is not a big deal. But it may be a bug to check out. I just did the 11.2.5 update last night. Joel Brown
There are certainly ways to 'trick' the system. If you already have ID open and floating, but you open a workspace that has an ID zone - what would you do? Close the floating ID? Close the zone on the open workspace? Neither of those actions would seem intuitive to the user, as they just opened a workspace and would expect what they opened. So, it is possible to create a double situation, but it isn't particularly likely, from what I can tell.
