Hi,

I like the new analytics...but I can't figure out how to search for a Greek word in a combined resource (LXX1 + NA28-T)?? and then do analytics  for both texts???

I do have both of these resources in  my library....

Thanks for your help

Frank

Hi Frank, we stil a search in a text pane in a combined resource because they are actually 2 resources and may have different ways of tagging the texts. The text is really a meta text, ie it doesn't really exist except as a display combination.

To search lxx and gnt we have produced the 2 texts combine as one in the combined lxx-gnt (at https://www.accordancebible.com/store/details/?pid=LXX-GNT).This will let you search across both corpuses in one text.

I am not sure of the complexity of the analysis available in this module as I have not actually done a whole lot in it.

It is not possible.

Combined texts are only a secondary pane. Maybe this will be possible in future update. But I believe not in the near future, thats why Accordance has published the LXX-GNT.

You must have purchased and installed the LXX+GNT text to use it, it is not something you can directly combine.

However, you can use the research to simultaneously search both texts, and as of v12, you can also do some analyses across the results.  See this help page:

http://accordancefiles2.com/helpfiles/OSX12/Default.htm#topics/05_dd/the_research_tab.htm

and for Analysis:

Hmmm - interesting. Hadn’t tried that yet! Excellent.

The next podcast will be on Research Analytics.

I am sorry the podcasts on these new features are taking so long. Our programmers have packed a ton of improvements into Accordance 12!

Hi,

Thanks everybody for your help....I was able to do this using the research tab , doing research using the Greek word .....and creating a custom group consisting of the GNT and LXX...and then using the combine feature in the analytics...that is what I wanted to do

I appreciate the help!
