ETCBC : L clause symbol not explained in ID or doc

Hi ya,

Was looking Gen 22:14 again in the ETCBC to verify a bug fix - it is - thanx.

However, I noticed that there are L elements in the which do not show any explanation in ID. There are Lx elements where x might be any of a number of superscripts and they show up. I checked the ETCBC glossary and there is no L defined though there is L0 but that does not appear to be the same thing. I checked Shebanq and this is not obvious there either.

Can anyone tell me what it is, and what is means ?

thx

D

I'm not sure why that's not being displayed in the Instant Details, but here's the definition of an "L" clause from the Accordance Help documentation:

  • L: Dependent, Non-Speech: A clause, often introduced by a subordinating conjunction, that forms part of and is dependent on a main clause.

You can find definitions of all the syntactical terms in Accordance Help under Biblical Research and Analysis -> Greek and Hebrew Syntax -> Definitions of Syntactical Terms (ETCBC).

Ah of course I checked the glossary document not the help. Oops ! Thanx Mark.

That leaves the ID which I assume needs a tweak to present this for L nodes. And I guess the glossary doc should also be updated.

Thx
