William Cross
When right clicking on an individual Hebrew word and choosing the Lexeme search, Accordance is then automatically highlighting the word together with the suffix and running a search. It seems that selecting Lexeme should prevent this but it is not. What am I doing wrong? Edited February 2, 2017 by William Cross
Joel Brown
This is because a right-click selects the entire visible word, which includes the suffix. If you select the word (without suffix) first, it will find just that word. However, the fastest way, in my opinion, is to simply click in the word and type Command-4 (Cntrl+4 on Windows).
William Cross
Ok, still don't understand why doing a Lexeme search doesn't automatically remove the suffix, but your suggestion is workable. Thank you.
Joel Brown
To help clarify, when you right click the suffix is also selected. Thus, you are doing a lexeme search for both the main word and its suffix. Accordance lets you select as much as you want and search for it lexically, with this being no exception. To put it another way, if you did want to search for a lexeme and its suffix, it would naturally involve selecting both of them, as happens automatically with a right-click.
