Gedalya
Can you please explain the following: Added localization of the Timeline details popover information I don't understand what this means. Clause or Phrase depth now goes all of the way to ∞, representing no maximum depth What does this mean? Added preference to not reuse tool panes when opened from the Info pane--Where is this in the pref? Updated localizations What is meant by 'localizations"? Joel Brown
Localization refers to the usage of the app in other languages. Specifically, our translations of the application into German, Spanish, Portuguese, and French have been updated. In addition, the Timeline Details popover (little white bubble when you click on an item in the Timeline) wasn't being translated, but it is now. The depth refers to searches in the syntax. Previously, there were choices of phrase or clause depths ranging from 0-9, but now it goes 0-8 or infinite. The new preference is in the Amplify preferences.
Anthony Sepulveda
I couldn't download the 12.0.4 Aleph, but at least I was able to download the production version from the web page. Did anyone else have trouble with downloading the 12.0.4 Aleph?
Michael J. Bolesta
It won't let me update. Error message "Update Error! An error occurred in retrieving update information. Please try again later." Rebooting my Mac did not solve the problem. Stuck in 12.0.3

Michael J. Bolesta
I downloaded the dmg from the Accordance website and ran the installer. I now have Accordance 12.0.4, but "Check for App Update" give me the same error message, "Update Error! An error occurred in retrieving update information. Please try again later." Yet checking "About Accordance" says that I am running 12.0.4 Edited February 10, 2017 by Michael J. Bolesta
Helen Brown
I confirm on Mac anyway, 12.0.4 gives an update error instead of the message that I am up to date. The Aleph version does, too.
Λύχνις Δαν
So does windows It was ok yesterday and I updated Mac though. Thx D
arcanemuse
I am getting this error too. Somehow there is a communication issue when trying to reach the update server or the update server has a broken link. Rather like a 404 error on a web site. Perhaps the cleaning crew tripped over the power cord and unplugged the server.... it's happened before. ;-)
Randy Cue
I confirm on Mac anyway, 12.0.4 gives an update error instead of the message that I am up to date. The Aleph version does, too. Same here.

Michael J. Bolesta
One can to the program download page, and download the program: https://www.accordancebible.com/Accordance-Installers/ Then 12.0.4 can be installed manually. arcanemuse
As previously suggested, I went to accordancebible.com, then to support to download the dmg for the latest version. It works like a charm. Thanks for the idea.

Λύχνις Δαν
FYI - this is still broken on Windows. I downloaded the production version from the website but this leaves my beta version behind. Not a tragedy of course but just FYI. Thx D
Anthony Sepulveda
I was just about to post a similar message. Is this just a server problem, or a bug in the program itself? Maybe the fastest way in the meantime is just to give us the link to the latest Aleph. Thanks.
Helen Brown
The fix had to propagate through the DNS servers which can take 3 days to complete, hence the spotty results. It is working consistently for me now, and should be good for everyone. However, I confirm that the Aleph Update on Windows is not working, it fails to download the file after offering the upgrade. That's a different error and problem. We will look into it.
