Julia Falling
I was searching for an English word in my User Notes. It did the search – 179 hits – but they are not in red, as specified in the Prefs. Additionally, the Workspace lacks the bottom where the navigation arrows belong. Basically, my hits aren't marked and I have no way of moving from hit to hit. Is anyone else seeing this? Thanks.
Fabian
Hello Julia By me the search hits are red and with command-arrow up/down I can jump to the next hit. But also no navigation arrows on the bottom. In User Tools to go from hit to hit you it ist alt-command-arrows. Julia Falling
Thanks, Fabian. I didn't know that the User stuff would behave differently. I guess I expected my User Notes to behave more like an Accordance Tool. That doesn't explain, however, why my hits are not in red. I rebooted this morning, and have had the problem since. I tried the same search on the Mac mini (where I rarely use Accordance but it's installed there as a back-up in case my MacBook Air gets sick). The search worked properly there. The only difference between the installs is that the MBA is running the Aleph, the mini, the production version. Surely that wouldn't make a difference? I think I'll back up my Accordance Files and install the production version on the Air, too, and see what happens. EDIT: I installed the production version and the red shows up for the hits, but now I'm wondering if it would have shown up just as well had I just used the arrows to find the first hit? 2nd EDIT: I went back to the Aleph and it does work as it is supposed to except that there were no hits at the top of the window. I had to use ⌘ + down arrow to get the first hit. Edited February 17, 2017 by Julia Falling
Joel Brown
Hits are also marked in the Table of Contents to the left. Command-Arrows navigates note by note, always. If you are showing just search results ('Show All text' is off) then the arrow keys will still navigate note by note, but only the notes with hits will be shown. If you check 'Show All Text', then you'll need to use Command-Control-Arrows to jump from hit note to hit note.
