Include the entire uncial texts

I would like to have the entire uncial texts included in their respective texts.  For example, Vaticanus would have all of Vaticanus, not just the NT of it.

Ouch, that would be a huge amount of work: to transcribe and tag the septuagint uncial texts!

I am thinking that the rocket scientists at Accordance can figure a way to do it efficiently.  But I expect you would make a profit on it since it won't be a freebie.  Would this be a contribution to scholarship?  BTW, I realize it is common to call it the Septuagint, but IMHO it is not the LXX (rather, the Greek OT), the actual LXX not being extant except in fragments.

I think you'd be amazed at how many resources we publish (or features we add) where we know we're not going to turn a profit. Our development costs are too great and the niche not popular enough—or the number of scholars who would buy not adequate—to pay back our investment. We do it out of love for the discipline and commitment to biblical studies. Believe me, we have a list of projects longer than your arm we'd love to do. Each year we try to choose several of them wisely.

However, we have to balance these projects with the ones that pay the bills in order to stay in business. We're not underwritten by a large foundation or wealthy individual. We have employees to pay, royalties for publishing companies, and all the other expenses that it takes just to keep our office open and internet presence active.

The best way you can help us is to recommend Accordance to your school, your colleagues, and your students or congregations. Many of you have been doing that for the twenty-plus years we've been in business. We appreciate it and hope you're pleased with the resources and features we've added over the years.

I have bought Accordance for 2 pastors in addition to having spent about $10,000 on it myself.  It would increase the recommendability to say that Accordance has the entire Vaticanus, Sinaiticus, and Alexandrinus.

While not tagged there is a user bible of the complete Sinaiticus Greek text on the exchange. I agree it would be great to have all the texts with tagging but it's a ton of work. There are ways to do it though - run an auto-tagger and then crowdsource the corrections. Even if done this way it wouldn't be an quick thing.

Thx

But just found another cool thing.

If you tab on a word in the transcription then this word it is framed in the image of the codex. But this would be more a feature request.

Honestly sometime I think some websites has more cool features than the big players of Bible software.

Greetings

Fabian

I think a lot of us have been doing this for years, or even decades, but I wonder if some kind of commission basis for referrals might be in order?

We do give a $5 referral reward (credit) if a new user lists the name of the person who recommended Accordance. There is a field for that in the online account.
