100 Commentaries on Info Pane

Accord Help says one can display 100 commentaries on the Info pane.  But all I can find is a max setting of 40.  How do I go to 100?  tnx

40 is the maximum default, Enoch. You can add more in multiples of five by clicking the plus (+) button at the bottom of the commentaries section on the Info Pane. We have to do that each time we open a new Info Pane, though I suppose you could save the Workspace and see if it will open that way.

I have got to ask, though. Do you really own 100 commentaries? Do you really want to display them all on the Info Pane?

Even if you are just showing titles (not cover images) that's going to take up a huge amount of display space!

I have spent a huge amount on Accordance, so I have many commentaries & resources.   Is there really a problem with displaying 100 titles in one pane using columns?

I don't need cover images.  What I would like is a quick way to visually scan what I have available.  Is my memory wrong in saying that Accord Help does indicate that one can display 100 commentaries on the Info pane (singular number)? Thanks for telling me about the +

alt+ would be great to open all, alt- to close to the predefined.

Greetings

Fabian

P.S. same with the Research results. I have requested this before.

This intrigued me as I have a fairly extensive library commentaries so I counted them in my library and I have 98. If you have more, I salute you! Of course, only those which have comments on a particular verse will show in the Info Pane. So I would assume the limit of 100 would be sufficient for almost anyone.

Personally I have created a folder with my favorite commentaries (and sets) and placed them near the top so they show up first in the Info Pane.

So you are looking at a verse

In info pane 98 of your commentaries show so:

do you read all 98 comments or do you read a selection?

If all how do you remember which are useful or do you stop when you get something that triggers a thought?

And if a selection, how do you select which to choose?

Curiosity only, just interested in your workflows

If I had a thousand commentaries (purposefully using a higher number than what's available), I would still probably only be interested in fewer than 20. And on most weeks when I'm preparing to teach, it's more like about five due to time constraints. The best strategy is to rank one's commentaries, placing preferred volumes/series at the top of the Commentaries folder. You can even create subfolders if you like. And then whether it's 5, 10, 20, or whatever, set your Info Pane to a default of the number you're going to actually use.
