  • Get Verses references now use the native book name if chosen for the module.
  • Added support for Copy Search URL from the Research Entry box.
  • Research results for verses in a text will no longer return verses past the last verse in a chapter.
  • Added automatic web and internal tool link parsing to the Stack.

Im curious about this one, what does this exactly mean?  Is that like when you search for "Romans 3:12" and you will get hits in a book where it says "In Romans 1-8 blah blah..."

Awesome release. Thanks! Fixed nearly every issue I reported. That's awesome support!

  • 3 weeks later...

How does the URL research work (Added new accord URL action type “research,” that will open a Research tab with the specified parameters)? If I understand it correctly, you are now able to paste in link like accord://read/IVP-Biblical_Imagery#3178 to the Research tab to have Accordance to display that ressource (instead of pasting it into Safari to do the wunder).

This is not working for me.

What have I misunderstood?

Hello Morten

run a query and then click in the search field (not result field), a right click and you have the option to Copy As Search URL.

It looks like then. accord://research/[Alle_Texte];Modern?god

I don't see it here http://accordancefiles2.com/helpfiles/OSX12/Default.htm#topics/05_dd/using_links_common_tasks.htm#kanchor512. Please add.

I don't have tested if it works over all User Interface Languages. It can be a problem because in the German one it writes [Alle_Texte] and I'm not really sure if now someone with the English UI can run the query.

Greetings

Fabian

Thanks, Fabian. That explains.

However: I would very much like to see an integration of Location url also somehow. I have not found a way to look up a Location url otherwise than pasting it into Safari's command line - which is rather cumbersome. OneNote and Word for Mac do not recognize them.

Would it not be a simple and handy solution to program the Research field to understand Location urls also?

Word 16 for Mac runs it since over 2 years (Since the free Beta https://www.accordancebible.com/forums/topic/15204-links-to-accordance/?p=75208). But you have to add it as Link. In One Note, Pages, www.Papyrus.de etc. too. Select/command-K/paste/save. But not in Apple Notes, or Power Point, otherwise in Outlook and Mac Mail without set it special as Link. And with a word of Dr. J. "Enjoy".

Unfortunately it doesn't work in the Forums, https://www.accordancebible.com/forums/topic/16937-url-to-accordance-modules/I have requested this on the Forum from the Forums software developers. But as no customer I got no attention https://invisionpower.com/forums/topic/422652-request-for-uri-support-in-the-forums-software/. So hopefully the OakTree team had it requested too.

I have sent a URI to a Win user as e-mail and he got only a 404 message in Outlook. I found out, he hasn't this module, but on Mac it you get directly to the Accordance Store. Is this not possible in Outlook for Win?

Greetings

Fabian

This has been suggested before. I believe it would be a very good solution.

Crashing

since the update the system seems crashing all the time.

Previously I also could receive a pop-up for copying the verses and have them pasted in my work with the additional information of the book, translation and verses. This seems not to work any more. How can I get that back?

Please be sure you have updated to 12.0.6.

The pop-up you mention is the Get Verses or how to you activate it?
