Dear Teach support,

Since the latest 12.0.5 update last week, I've encountered some serious problems in GNT text that I've never seen/had before!

Please see the attached .png file.

Changing greek fonts in Preferences has not helped.

Thanks for you assistance!

Hey, Tomi--

This has been reported and there are a couple of things you can try.

1) Restart your computer. This has worked for some users.

2) If #1 fails to help, remove older versions of the Helena font from the Font Book. This can be done in the Font Book by selecting the Helena Font and 'right clicking' (or 'control clicking') on it and selecting Resolve Duplicates or if there are no duplicates you can 'Remove' the font.

I've have the same problem. But the solutions you have suggested haven't worked for me. I have restarted my computer several times, and I have removed the Helena font (there were no duplicates).

You can try manually cleaning out old fonts from the HD/Library/Fonts, HD/SystemLibrary/Fonts, and user/Library/Fonts.

If you need help with this or this doesn't work, I would suggest contacting Tech Support (407-339-0266 9am-6pm Eastern US time or support@accordancebible.com).

Hi, I tried to "Remove" the Helena font because of no duplicates. As a result, Accordance has worked fine. But the Helena font has completety missed out from the Font Book and cannot use it on TextEdit or Pages, which means that copy and paste from NA28 doesn't work. What can I do for that problem? Do I need to install the Helena font again? If so, how? Please help me out. Thanks.

Under Export check "Export all in unicode".

Try to istall Accordance again and the newest Helena Font should be on your machine again.

For the next time it would be nice to know which version of Accordance you own and Mac or Win...

Greetings

Fabian

I am not certain if this is the same issue but if I try to copy a word from BDAG outside of Accordance, it removes the last Greek letter of nouns, adjs. as well as the comma before the Gen/Article information.

examples

Ζαβουλώ ὁ

Ζακχαῖο ου, ὁ

Ζαχαρία ου, ὁ

Ζεβεδαῖο ου, ὁ

ζεστό ή, ό

ζεῦγο ους, τό

This seems to be new since 12.05

Yes, this is a new bug, already fixed for the upcoming 12.0.6. As a workaround, copy two words and then delete the second one.

I had the same issue. Following your advise, I deleted the old Helena fonts from HD/Library/Fonts and left the new ones that were in user/Library/Fonts. That worked just fine.

Thanks!

There is a new feature in 12.0.6 that can be used to clean up the old fonts (Mac users). Once you have 12.0.6 installed, hold down the Option key when you start Accordance, which will bring up the Accordance Safe Mode options. Check the box to “Clean up installed fonts” and then press the Launce Accordance button.

This blog post will give you more details regarding the font issue.
