Ken Han
Mac. Accordance 12.0.6 will not launch. I checked all the boxes in the safe launch mode, manually cleared out all cache and preferences. Still, every attempt to launch fails after a few bounces. I have even re downloaded the app from the Accordance website. Still no go. Accordance was working fine last night. I get: Accordance Crash Log Program Version: 12.0.6 OS Version: 10.12.4 Message: Access violation Call trace: $000750E8 $00071793 $00071B1E $00072E81 $0057059D $0056F7DF $0056BEF0 $00648646 $0006334E $00648646 $0006C94B $000701BB $95A8C336 $94268B96 $942686AD $9426814E $9425FB10
Helen Brown
It's better to contact tech support directly as they are too busy to follow the forums all the time.
Ken Han
It's resolved. It turns out to be a bug with Apple's iCloud Drive. I have been storing my Documents/Accordance Files in iCloud Drive. But for some inexplicable reason the Documents folder was back in /Users/kenhan/ folder, while an alias of the Documents folder remained in iCloud Drive. I don't know how or what happened. It seems Accordance was confused because of this, and unlike the normal procedure of asking the user to locate the Accordance Files folder, it just would crash. Now that I have moved the Documents folder inside /Users/kenhan/ Accordance was able to launch.
Daniel Francis
Sadly enough if all the usual tricks don't work I have yet to find a restart doesn't fix things.... For whatever reason. -dan
Ken Han
Of course, a restart is one of the first things one does to troubleshoot. But in this case a restart didn't cure it. Nor did emptying cache and preferences, etc.
