Searching for Didache citations in BDAG

I've tried searching English content, abbreviations, and scripture. Not sure how else to do it. I've tried each of these using the term "D 2:7", which I know is cited on page 5, s.v. agapaw. I can get results if I search for "D" alone, but nothing if I add the reference.

Hey Anthony,

Does this get you close : "D ?(0-9)"

Do it as an English content search.

Thx

D

This will find the reference in the English Content field: "D 2 .: 7" The period is used for a character search. Also, you have to have a space before and after the period-colon.

The Scripture field would only include biblical refs (including the Apocrypha). The Abbreviations field only searches the Abbreviations section of BDAG. If you are trying to find all refs of the Did. in BDAG, I would try something like this:  D <FOLLOWED BY> <WITHIN 2 Words> .:

Also, if you are ever curious what is in a particular search field, you can use ?* to search for everything or use cmd-J to see a list. That doesn't work for the Scripture field, though.

BDAG doesn't appear to have an MSS field. Sorry. That would have helped.

I found a few hits searching for "Didache" in English content, primarily when the word appeared in book titles.

BTW, I checked Big Kittle, which does have an MSS field. It says it uses "Did." as an abbreviation for "Didache," but I was unable to search for it. The word isn't used in the field!?!

Super helpful; thanks! So, basically I'm not searching for the reference per se, I'm searching for multiple items, D, 2, :, and 7. That makes sense.
