Workspaces and Importing Text

So I just got Accordance, and I'm still learning the ropes. There's a couple of things I need some assistance on.

First, how can I delete/edit the default workspaces that come with Accordance Starter? I really only need the English study; anything else I can either create as I need it or I'll never use it.

Second, I believe I saw an option to import text/bibles from other apps/locations into Accordance. I would love to import my Nestle-Aland 28th GNT from my Olive Tree application. If this is possible, could someone give me the file locations for everything? Any help would be appreciated!!

Soli Deo Gloria!

Welcome to Accordance!

You can remove any of the installed workspaces from the My Workspaces section near the bottom of your Library.  Simply select a workspace you do not need and remove it with Command-Delete, the right-click menu, or the Action menu at the bottom of the Library.  You can also use the Library to rename the workspaces.

Editing workspaces is very easy, simply open the workspace, make any changes you wish to the workspace, and use File -> Save.  The next time you open the workspace, it will be whatever state you saved it in.

You can find more information about importing texts in the Help of Accordance, under:

Digging Deeper > Importing Bibles > Importing Bibles

However, I do not expect you to have the luck you wish importing your NA28 from OliveTree into Accordance.  We do not support the importing of grammatical information, so your text would not support any morphology, and any searches on the text would be inflected rather than lexical.  Finally, the text would have to import as unicode, so it would not directly compare against our other greek texts and may not render as beautifully.  I highly recommend getting the official NA28, available standalone or in many packages:

https://www.accordancebible.com/store/details/?pid=GNT28-T

(if you need the apparatus as well: https://www.accordancebible.com/store/details/?pid=NA28-T)

I do recommend you check out the Accordance Exchange, however:

http://www.accordancefiles1.com/exchange/

Here many users have contributed texts, tools, and other resources they have created.

Let me know if this helps or if I can answer anything else!

Your instructions for how to delete Workspaces made me feel a little slow, but thank you for your input!! I understand the difficulties associated with importing a text like the NA 28th, however I also possess an NASB, an NIV, and a book entitled "Wilmington's Guide to the Bible" that I would both love to import from Olive Tree. Is there any guide that shows me how to access these files from the Olive Tree folder(s)? I am not that accustomed to a Mac and I can only find the application itself, not the application's folders.

You'd have to contact Olive Tree to find their texts, as we aren't officially connected with them.  Feel free to ask any questions you have throughout the import process, though!
