Diatheke76
I need full instructions to change the interface to Spanish on my Windows 10 laptop. I've tried to google them, but nothing comes up. It would be nice to have this in the program's settings, but nothing there. I want my maps to show in Spanish. Thanks! Diatheke76

Daniel Francis
Language Localization Accordance Bible Software is localized for Spanish, German, and Português (Brasil) in OS X. If the top language in the System Preferences (Language & Text area) is set to one of these languages, text in the Accordance interface automatically appears in that language. Names of books of the Bible, modules, fields within tools, and other modules, are set within the modules themselves and do not change with a different system language. The same applies to entry of verse references: Verses can only be entered in the language supported by that module. However, in German certain specialized and common abbreviations are accepted in any text, such as 1Mo for Genesis. Pop-up menu items in the Set Tag Details dialog boxes are translated. However, after clicking OK the details are entered in the Search Entry box or Construct tab in English. At this time no documentation is available in these languages. Special Characters Localize Accordance Bible Software Localization of Accordance Bible Software is set via the Mac System Preferences. On the Application menu, choose System Preferences. The System Preferences dialog box appears. In the Personal area, choose Language & Text. The Language & Text options are displayed. Drag the desired language item to the top of the list. Changes are applied to your computer. The next time you open Accordance, the desired language is applied.

Daniel Francis
Sorry I thought it would be the same, what happens when you open up Accordance Help and in the index find Localization. -dan

Diatheke76
Here are the actual instructions for future reference, in case there might be someone in the future who wants to find out how to change the language of the interface to Spanish. I assume the same instructions work for any other language supported by Accordance: Here is a revised version which should be easier to read: Change language in Windows 10 You will need to change your ‘Language’ and ‘System Locale’ on your computer to your desired language and restart your computer. This setting is a part of your operating system and effects the entire system. There is no individual setting for Accordance. You will need to go to Control Panel/Region/Administrative/Change System Locale and also to Format and to Location to set your desired language. You will also need to go into Control Panel/Language and move your preferred language to the top. Then you will need to restart the computer for these changes to take effect. Note: If the language pack you need is not installed on your computer, you will need to download and install it from Microsoft before beginning. Restart the computer.
