Outis
I just bought the F-35 and GNT-Ecumenical Patriarchal Text. But there don't seem to be any notes with them. There should be some notes as to what the textual background of these editions are. There should also be notes about the variants contained within them. I have the Pierpoint-Robinson text. And there's a an accompanying notes file (and it's pretty good). But where's the same for the other Byzantine texts? I got to Mark 7:16 in the GNT-Ecumenical Patriarchal Text and got to this: (Mark 7:16 GNT-EPT) “[εἴ τις ἔχει ὦτα ἀκούειν, ἀκουέτω.]” I'm assuming that the brackets mean that this means there's a unit of variation in the EPT. But where is the file giving the details? Anyone know?
Λύχνις Δαν
I use the EPT all the time but I don't think I've ever seen notes for it. I just checked the readmes and it's not there either. It's a good question. R. Mansfield
Outis, there's not a separate notes file or the Patriarchal text. Based on what I know about Mark 7:16, the brackets are probably just functioning as an indicator that this verse is not in the oldest manuscripts. There is a notes file for the Family-35 GNT. It is in the Translator Notes folder of your library. Look for GNT-Family 35 Intro.
