I know it's been requested before, but I couldn't find the corresponding threads in the forums, so here's a new one.

The amount of Preferences one can customize in Accordance is nothing short of awesome--far more than just about any other app I use. I really appreciate this.

It would be fantastic (not just for me--thinking of all users) to have an option (if it's possible!) to search for what it is within Preferences you want--i.e., type in "Limit text width" and it takes you there, much as the "System Preferences" in Mac has a search option so you don't have to remember which sub-section of Preferences you need.

I'm guessing this is difficult to program or we might be using it already, but figured I'd start another thread and see what kind of support there might be for this... thanks for considering!

Hi,

I would rather Acc be programmed to remember my Preferences, and apply them as I install on different machines/platforms, or when I update to a new version number.

Regards,

Michel

. . . and the Preferences could be listed in the Help files, with hyperlinks to their menus in Acc - just search, click, and apply

Hi,

In the meantime, and even if searching is implemented, it would be nice if the Preferences pane could be enlarged to full screen. Then it would be easier to find what one is looking for, especially on HD screens.

Regards,

Michel

The ability to export preferences and then import them on a different machine would be great. Automatic backups of all user-defined settings would be great, too. When Accordance gets the hiccups one of the things support sometimes asks you to do is open in Safe Mode (holding the Option key on Mac when launching) and then delete General Preferences (see Screenshot). I really hesitate to do that.

In the last case, what I did was to make a screenshot of all the various Preferences panes and same them as a backup. Then when Accordance was working right, I had to go back and manually reset all the preferences to what I had had before.

With all of the new BW users, I change mind my mind. I agree with Abram.

I never know where anything is inside preferences. This seems like a good idea.

My top 5 feature requests:
  1. 15pt font size for reading text (bible, journal articles, commentaries, etc...)
  2. Improved searching for Journal articles. (So we can search for journal article by verse + english text)
  3. Display Journal titles in journal search results. (Imagine a google search where you saw the page text but no headings?)
  4. Improved greek text search—i.e. allow searching of all greek text the same way you would search LXX+NT, i.e. LXX+NT+ApocFathers+etc...
  5. Phrase (sympathetic) highlighting.

New music I am interested in:

https://youtu.be/Y-ZiJmDOk2c - Matisyahu, Produces Reggae and Pop music as a practicing Jew. His song "One Day" talks about peace between the world at large

https://youtu.be/44S6vBveKZQ - Demon Hunter, Traditional Christian Metal/Rock band who just came out with 2 very successful albums, separately, titled 'War' & 'Peace'

https://youtu.be/R7REkjcwM_8- POD (Payable On Death), Positive Nu-Metal/Rock/Reggae band that gained popularity when they came out with "Alive" and "Youth of the Nation" off the album 'Satellite' which released 9/11/2001

https://youtu.be/Bz-g2tucn24- Project 86, Post-Hardcore Christian band. Andrew Schwab, the front man of the band runs a podcast (which I support through Patreon) dedicated to helping other creatives find their voice.

See my YouTube channel, and it's purpose! I am pretty underground now, but I think I am going to make it!

As I see John 6:29:

Joshua replied to all of them, "In me is the Work of God, in order that you [all] trust that I will send you."

Jesus started His ministry as a commandment of God through His mother, whom he obeyed, to urged Him to begin His ministry. What transpires from that is Him as the greatest light of the world that ever was and ever will be. As a representation of this, he did a miracle and from six pots of water He made into wine that represents humanity at large. He made the wine into the best tasting wine as a representation of what He does for those of us who believe He was God and did the Work of God so that He might send out His Spirit upon the whole world.
