No JPS Notes?

I have version 4.0 of the JPS text. I also have the Jewish Study Bible module. But when I click on a footnote in the JPS text, I get the message, "The appropriate notes tool for "JP" cannot be found or is not installed."

post-734-0-01979500-1499309268_thumb.jpg

I ran "Check for Content Updates…" and checked both the free and paid sections. I checked in the Easy Install tab. The JPS notes module does not appear anywhere. I checked my Accordance library and I checked the actual module files in the Finder. It's not there.

Which file am I supposed to have and how do I get it?

Thank you

Hey Brett,

My JPS is "JPS (1985) with Strong's" and it's version 4.2. The Notes file also exists. It's in ~/Library/Application Support/Accordance/Modules/Tools/JPS Notes.atool. Clicking on a note in my case works. I also have the JSB but it doesn't seem to affect it one way or the other.

The ~/Library folder is hidden by default.

Perhaps delete the JPS text module and then re-download. That might reload both (but keep a copy somewhere just in case) as I don't see the Notes as a separate module in my Easy Install list either.

Thx

D

Thanks. Mine is the JPS 1985 WITHOUT Strongs, but it is version 4.0. No notes. I already checked the app support folder. Then I searched my entire system for any file with the letters "JP". It's not there.

Are the notes supposed to be there for all JPS modules at version 4.0 or do the notes only appear if you have JPS with Strongs?

Thanks

I'm afraid I cannot say. I do not have a non-Strong's version.

Thx

Brett,

The JPS (without the Strong's) should certainly contain the notes file as well. It will appear as "JPS (1985) Notes" in your library. Try deleting the JPS and then re-installing using Easy Install.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

Okay, I deleted it from my Library completely and it does not appear in the Easy Install at all. I quit Accordance and started it again. I refreshed the Easy Install list. Nothing.

So now I have no JPS module at all!

Any ideas?

Thank you

Yes, open Accordance with "alt" pressed, then tick the "empty library cache". Maybe this works.

Thanks, but that didn't help. Still no JPS. I'm afraid this is something Helen is going to have to check out as she had to do some fanagling to get three libraries combined into one. I'm afraid the JPS got left out somehow.

Thanks

The fastest way to get the JPS back again would be to upgrade for $5 to the JPS with Strong's.

You got $5 to spare? I don't. Feel free to send it my way. :-)

Thanks

This is something Helen is going to have to straighten out. I found a backup of the module. When I tried to install, it said it could not be found online and I had to manually enter my original unlock code. I did that and it installed.

But, still no notes and Accordance doesn't have a record of it in my accont therefore it will never be updated.
