Is there a way to change the amplify link to Hebrew text rather than ESV, for the Hebrew audio verses?

Hello micaiah

Yes just press command-T on Mac or use the right click if the Hebrew audio verses are open and active.

I don't have a command-t or a right click on my iPhone.

Then you have to bring the Hebrew text to read top in the library. Unfortunately this is then your primary text.

Yes! Here's how to do it.

Tap the text settings button at the top right of the screen. Then tap "All Display Settings."

Scroll to the bottom of the settings, and set your Hypertext Text to the Hebrew Bible.

Now, when you tap on a hyperlink in Hebrew Audio Verses module, you will see Hebrew rather than the ESV!

Hi Rick,

How are you?

I"m having a similar issue, yet in version 2.7.0 of Accordance for iOS when I tap All Display Settings and scroll down there is no option to change primary, nor alternate text.

So far I've experienced partial success by moving the order of the texts in the Texts section of the Library. I think I may be misusing or using this feature in a different way than it was intended.

In the Texts section of the Library the first text is the NKJV with Strong's and the second text is the NET Bible. By doing this I was able to accomplish what I wanted, which was to see the primary hypertext in the Tool Display settings as the NKJV with Strong's, and the alternative text as the NET Bible. This may seem strange to anyone that know how to use the app better than I, or odd to those that currently wish to study the original languages. I'm simply hoping to use this feature to quickly navigate back and forth between the two English texts I use most often.

Doing this has worked on my iPhone, but not on my iPad. For some reason when I place the order of the texts in the Text section of the Library on my iPad, as explained above, the Hypertext area of the Tool Display settings does not update to show the NET Bible as the alternative text. It stubbornly remains the ASV. However, as far as I am aware the primary text has always shown the NKJV with Strong's.

Do you have any idea why the NET Bible does not show up as the alternative text in the Tool Display settings on my iPad, but it does on my iPhone?

Perhaps, it may help to know I ordered the texts in the same order on my Mac, and I use the Dropbox sync feature on all three devices. I'm not sure if my use of the Dropbox sync feature may be a cause of the issue, but it may help to be aware that I am using it.

Please help.

Thank you,

Thank you,

Praise The Lord!

I was able to resolve this issue by deleting the problematic text from my iPad. I also simultaneously set the Accordance settings in the Settings app on my iPad to Reset Interlinear Settings. I do not know which of these efforts actually resolved the issue, nor do I know if the Interlinear Settings have anything to do with the Hypertext Settings within the Tool Display Settings of Accordance on iOS, but Praise The Lord, now the Tool Display Settings in Accordance on my iPad show the NKJV with Strong's as the primary text and the NET Bible as the alternative text.

Afterward, I simply downloaded the deleted text again, and placed it back in its position in the Library.

Whew! All is well.

Thanks for this post. It got me to look at a few settings. Was it the audio file the problematic one you deleted?

I have tried linking both hebrew and audio and in both cases they have stuck on nrsv and niv and not allowed me to change them though I can change page number colour.

Been in systems settings and reset everything as I normally do. Thought I’d ask before deleting and reinstalling the large audio files as I’m getting the same inability to change texts on both my iPad Pro and iPhone 4s, both on latest Accordance but on different iOS versions.

Grace and Peace ukfraser,

How are you?

I have not used any audio files in Accordance, yet I do use text files. So, my resolved issue was limited to text files, and it was the ASV I deleted. The positioning of Texts I chose was to put the NKJV with Strong's at the very top, first position, and from there I just placed all remaining Texts in alphabetical order. So, the ASV was next in the descending list. I suppose the app is coded to read the second Text as the the default alternative text, and that must be true because after I deleted the ASV, the NET Bible automatically showed up as the alternative text.

Yet, in my case it did not happen quite like that. First, I placed the NET Bible in the second Text position, and the app did not read it. This was the issue or problematic Text. The app continued to read the ASV, and that is why I deleted the ASV, and downloaded it again after the NET Bible showed up as the alternative text in the Display Tools Settings.

If I were you, first I would delete the text file, one file, as opposed to the audio files, perhaps, many files.

I hope this helps.

Beloved John

Ah! Thank you John. Glad you are sorted. I’ll report it as a bug. See if anyone else is experiencing it.
