CanarsieMan500
I am on Mac OSX Sierra. Accordance 12.1.3. Recently the Greek font has not been displaying correctly, it is giving odd characters in various places. So far I've tried the following: 1. Cleaned up fonts when opening Accordance in Safe Mode. 2. Cleaned up fonts in Font Book. Note, I actually have been using Suitcase Fusion for font management for several years, no problem till now. 3. Reinstalled Accordance. At one point the problem resolved upon restarting the computer, but no longer. I see also in Preferences / Unicode Display Settings, neither Helena nor Yehudit appear as choices in the pull down menus. They are activated in Suitcase Fusion. Note also that if I copy/paste into Word, Helena appears properly - so it seems to be a display issue, not an issue with the font itself. This problem may have begun when I upgraded to 12.1.3, so I am wondering if there is some issue in that version. Regards, Rich R.
Helen Brown
The display issue is a little older, but there is an easy fix: Please open Accordance in Safe Mode to correct this issue. In order to open Accordance Safe Mode on a Mac computer, press your ‘option’ key as you open Accordance. In the Safe Mode window, choose the last option 'Clean up installed fonts' and Launch Accordance.
Fabian
1. Cleaned up fonts when opening Accordance in Safe Mode. Mmmh he wrote he had done this. Even what I suggested to do he had done. 2. Cleaned up fonts in Font Book. Note, I actually have been using Suitcase Fusion for font management for several years, no problem till now. Rich, have you deleted ALL Helena Fonts on your Mac? and installed Accordance new? Greetings Fabian
CanarsieMan500
Haven't tried deleting all Helena fonts before reinstalling Accordance. I will try that and see if the problem corrects.
Fabian
Haven't tried deleting all Helena fonts before reinstalling Accordance. I will try that and see if the problem corrects. By a friend of mine this steps has helped him to solve his issue. Only "1. Cleaned up fonts when opening Accordance in Safe Mode." hadn't solved his issue. Yes try it. CanarsieMan500
Deleting Helena and then reinstalling solved the problem. However, now I need to locate Helena for Suitcase Fusion to make use of it in Word. A Spotlight search doesn't locate it. Where does Accordance store its fonts in 12.1.3 on OSX Sierra? Julia Falling
It's in User > Library > Fonts. To get to your User Library, use the Go in the menu bar (Finder) while holding down the option key.
CanarsieMan500
It does not appear there for some reason. Nor does Spotlight locate it. Any ideas?
Helen Brown
That is the correct location, but actually we do not recommend that you use our older individual fonts in Word, but rather the new Accordance Unicode font which contains almost all characters from our older fonts. You would still need Helena for older documents saved with it. Running a fresh copy of Accordance 12.1.3 should reinstall the older fonts on Mac (not on Windows). I will be happy to screenshare to sort all this our for you. You can send a PM with your contact information.
