eshane7
I had to wipe my computer and re-install my OS. I installed Accordance and was able to download all my material again and am back up and running mostly. I forgot that I had customized some things in Accordance. While I use Accordance frequently, I set it up very rarely! I know I'm overlooking a simple thing, but I can't seem to find it. I want to set the default version for the Instant details, so when I move my mouse over a reference, it shows the version that I study in. I thought I had to move the Bible text to the top of the list in the Library... but that didn't seem to do it. I have looked in the preferences... but one could spend months in there looking over options. Sorry for such a simple request that I'm sure is right under my nose. Sometimes you need someone to point out the obvious to you. . Thanks! Shane
Mark Allison
It's under your "Compare Text" preferences. Look for "Keyed Text"
eshane7
It's under your "Compare Text" preferences. Look for "Keyed Text" Mark, I have that set as KJV, however when I move my mouse over verse references the ESVS is showing in the Instant details. I had changed this the other day, so I had closed and opened the program and it continues to show the ESVS.... ?? Not sure.
eshane7
Oh, noticed something strange. When I mouse over a commentary reference, it shows the KJV. However, when I mouse over the info pane reciprocal verses, it shows the ESVS... So now I'm a bit more confused. Must be a setting somewhere in there I missed. Mark Allison
Ah, Info Pane settings are different. Select the Info Pane and press Command-T. You can set the text and alternate text there.
eshane7
Found it! If anyone else wants to change this. You have to click on the Info Pane gear or press ⌘-T and set the preference in there for default text. Edit:. Thanks Mark for helping me track this down! Looks like we stumbled upon it about the same time, except you must type faster than I. Edited August 26, 2017 by eshane7
DarinL
In my case, I fixed the problem by changing the Hypertext, Alternate Text in Preferences...Tool Display.
eshane7
For whatever reason, it seems like this has 'reset' itself. I once again have had to go back and track down the settings for this, and switch it back to the version I use. It seems to automatically default to the ESV, which I don't use. Seems like these settings should 'stick' better once they are set, and not get reset. Anyone else run into these being automatically reset to ESV? Thank you, DarinL. I searched through my Preferences 3x, looked at help, and googled. Your answer was exactly what I was looking for. Cheers!
