Alistair
Some modules have detailed front matter, e.g. the Reformation Study Bible, that you would normally see in a printed book. However, the Life Application Study Bible has none of the front matter.
Rick Bennett
We will look at the LASB (again) and make sure no content is left out. Thanks for the feedback.
Alistair
My printed copy of the LAB (Living Bible version, October 1988) has: Title page (missing from Accordance module) Copyright information (missing from Accordance module) Contents page (missing from Accordance module) List of the books of the Bible (missing from Accordance module) Alphabetical list of the books of the Bible (missing from Accordance module) Contributors (missing from Accordance module) A chronology of Bible events and world events (Accordance module has this in a different place) Why the Life Application Bible is unique (Accordance module has this) What is application? (Accordance module has this) Etc… Admittedly some of this is redundant in a digital module, but I do recall from elsewhere on the forum that you generally try to make the digital modules as close to the printed versions as possible. Rick Bennett
Yes, in recent years we have made more of an attempt to replicate the printed edition as far as makes sense. But this module in particular dates back many years. In earlier times electronic versions weren't really considered digital 'books' as they are now with the advent of iBooks, Kindle, Nook, ePub etc. We rarely received files with page numbers in major reference works. Publishers often sent us archaic markup files that omitted this content since it was added at press. So while we do strive to model the print edition, we have not gone through every module to check these minor details, but as we make corrections and periodic updates we will try to do so. Thanks for the feedback.
