robertgbrown
I'm having an issue typing Hebrew words in my user notes. No matter what I do, it comes out back-to-front (i.e. left-to-right, rather than right-to-left). In reference to a similar discussion (https://www.accordancebible.com/forums/topic/19346-hebrew-in-user-notes-for-windows/), I've tried: - Selecting the Hebrew keyboard using the drop-down button in User Notes. - Using a Hebrew specific font (I'm using Ezra SIL and SBL Hebrew). - Changing the keyboard input to a Hebrew keyboard (this one: http://www.tyndale.cam.ac.uk/unicode). Yet have no success. Any advice? P.s., I type in Hebrew in Word for Mac all the time without any issues.
Helen Brown
Exactly which Accordance version are you using?
Michel Gilbert
Hi Robert, I didn't have any problems using the drop down Hebrew button in Notes (I don't use it, I was just checking for you), and I don't have any problems with my Hebrew Input Source, biblical Hebrew SIL that I downloaded from SBL (and changed a bit with Ukelele). I also don't have problems in any other program - including the latest Word, etc. I assume you tried restarting, that you have the latest version, and you haven't uninstalled and reinstalled Acc yet. I would suggest you try one of the keyboards that are known to work with Acc, e.g. at https://www.sbl-site.org/educational/BiblicalFonts_SBLHebrew.aspx(and/or, try the Israeli Hebrew keyboard in Input Sources). If they go backwards also, then it isn't your keyboard. Then try reinstalling your Fonts. Then Acc technical support would be your best bet. robertgbrown
Thanks Michael, much appreciated! I'll go through your steps...Re Accordance version: 12.0.6, on a Mac.
Joel Brown
Are you able to update to Accordance to version 12.1.3? It fixes many issues, including possibly this Hebrew one.
robertgbrown
In a bizarre turn of events, it seems that 'turning it off and on again' has made it work... Hmm...Just updating to 12.1.3 now, hopefully the issue won't return again. Thanks everyone for your suggestions.
