recognizing of Verses and Chapter 0

Hello

To import Bibles in the standard KJV verse mapping the verses 0 of Imported Bibles are recognized.

Unfortunately this behavior isn't supported in all other verse mappings. So most verses in the Psalms are shifted, if the Imported Bible has here also verse 0.

And the same for Chapters. In Sirach there is the first Chapter 0:1 etc. Then all Chapters has a wrong chapter number.

So I would love that Accordance recognized if there are verses and chapter with 0 in the txt file.

Greetings

Fabian,

First.

Thank you for the very useful work in Exchanges that facilitates the confection of user Bibles with numbers different from the NRSB.

(confer: Document to assist with using German Bible notation in User Bibles.

Going now to the point in reference.

I have a user bible, with the text of the most popular translation in Portugal; Bíblia dos “Capuchinhos”.  I made two versions: one with Catholic versification for use with Catholic documents, and another with NRSV versification, for use with Accordance in texts or commentaries of evangelical tradition. These versions have been functioning normally for the last six or seven years.

Recently I made some minor bug fixes that I found in the text. When I reintroduced the texts in Accordance, the Catholic version remained correct, but the version with evangelical numbering never accepted the "0" verses in the Psalms and changed them to "1". (Annex A)

After many trials, I went back to Accordance Version 10.4.5 (Download  10.4.5 Accordance  ) and… that did the trick.

Now I’m running the user bible under Accordance 12 with both numberings. (Annex B)

This expedient does not solve the problem, but for lack of a better solution this lends a helping hand.

Hello Morgado

but the version with evangelical numbering never accepted the "0" verses in the Psalms and changed them to "1". (Annex A)

Exactly my problem by using the NRSV mapping (and others too).

Till 11.1 only the KJV versification was allowed. So try that.

Now we have more options but only the KJV recognize the verse "0".

I would love to have also the Fine Tuning for verses. So it would need to have 2 or more Imported Bibles for the "same".  I have recently made an Imported Bible with in 3 (Three) versions, because non of the verse mappings is ideal. And for every I had to adjust. So it would be definitely easier.

But first I would love if the verse 0 is not only recognized with the Standard KJV mapping.

Greetings
