mythrenegade
Easy to reproduce: Search for John 1:1-1:51 Add three parallel translations. In my case, ESVS, NIV11GK, NASB95S, GNT (sigla). Select print. A window will come up explaining that it can't print because it's too wide and the app will crash. Every time. Joel Brown
I'm unable to reproduce this - can you post the crash log?
mythrenegade
Still having this problem. mythrenegade
It seems to have gotten worse. When I set everything up to print horizontally for four parallel translations (something I do rather frequently when I am preparing a sermon) it allows me to print, but lays it out on a vertical page so the end result is useless. It's not picking up the rotation from page setup.
Alistair
I tried this and while I got the same "too wide, cannot print" message I didn't crash. Can we assume all modules and the Accordance program are up-to-date? Have you tried tweaking the print settings? (File==>Print Settings) My final suggestion would be to frog blast the vent core. Silas Marrs
I was able to reproduce the crash, and will probably be able to fix it for the next release. You should be able to get around it for now if you deselect the "Page width same as tab" option in the print settings. If it still crashes after that, try deselecting the "Print pane name" option. It's some combination of these things that seems to cause the crash for me.
mythrenegade
The crash appears to come when the current version of accordance hasn't printed before and doesn't know what printer I'm using. At least that is a guarantee. I do not have "page width same as tab" checked. But when I select my printer, it is still laying out landscape on a portrait page, despite the page setup showing landscape. This happens even if I print to pdf, so it's not a paper feed issue. Not sure why this is happening or how to fix it. Joel This is what I see in print preview.
Silas Marrs
On that screen that you are showing there, can you set the "Presets" dropdown back to "Default Settings" and tell me if that helps at all?
Alistair
FWIW I reset my Mac at the end of last year and did a clean install of everything, in fact I don't have any printers installed at all. I wonder if this might be a matter related to printer drivers within the operating system?
mythrenegade
On that screen that you are showing there, can you set the "Presets" dropdown back to "Default Settings" and tell me if that helps at all? Yes, yes it does. Whoa. Ok, so here's the deal: I have to include a code for printing costs or my job won't print. So if I switch to "print with code" it still shows sideways. But if I switch to default it corrects itself, and then when I switch to "print with code" it stays corrected. Never experienced this before. Don't know if this is an accordance thing or a system print driver thing. The crash is clearly accordance specific, but this one may not be. Either way, I was able to print, which is a huge help. Thanks! Joel
Silas Marrs
I am glad that helped. My recommendation would be to save the printouts as PDF, then see if you can print the PDFs in your normal printer setup.
