ancientBiblicalHebrew
good day folks, My first post & new user of Accordance, got a question: In Accordance, when you open up any of the Hebrew OT versions if you will, is there a feature or what not that brings up transliteration and pronunciation? thanks for replying and have a great day, aBH
R. Mansfield
Welcome to Accordance & the forums, aBH! You should see transliteration in the Instant Details. If you don't see it, go to Preferences: Instant Details and check the box for transliteration under Greek & Hebrew. I see you're using a Windows computer. Speech is something that is still to be added to the Windows version. Eventually, you will be able to access it by selecting your text and from the contextual menu, and then choosing Look Up: Speak. We also have professionally recorded Hebrew audio available in the Accordance store.

mgvh
Sorry to revive an old thread... I'm using 12.2.9 on a Win10 system. If I highlight any word or section of text (biblical or resource), then right click, I have the option of: Look up > Speak Clicking on Speak does nothing. I'm trying to figure out if there is a bug or if the speech hasn't yet been implemented or if one needs to buy one of the audio modules. Thanks. (BTW, there is nothing--or at least I can't find anything--about this feature anywhere in Accordance Help) Edited September 28, 2018 by mgvh
Helen Brown
I don't think Speech is implemented on Windows, since on Mac it relies on the built-in system feature.
