Stacks

I am having difficulty in understanding HOW stacks work. I have read the help page but I am trying to copy some material from devotionals I receive in email form. This material will be used at a later date perhaps as sermon ideas or for inclusion in my notes. I am able to create the stack but not insert material from outside Accordance. If I remember correctly I was able to insert things from within Accordance but thus far I have not been able to copy and paste from any of the devotionals I receive. I do not believe this violates any copyright issues. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

With your Stack open, click on the "Add User Item" button. Then you'll be able to manually paste your content.

Believe I tried that to no avail. I will try some more. Thanks Mark.

OK. I am still at the same place. I successfully added content to the stack from a resource from within Accordance but I have been (am still am) unsuccessful trying to copy and paste content from my web browser (Google Chrome). I was trying to add content to the stack (which DID NOT work) but it worked fine copying and pasting into papers. I am sure I am doing something terribly wrong.

I am looking at the podcast AGAIN! I have viewed it before but I may have missed something. Thanks ukfraser for the reply.

When you click the "Add User Item" button, the contents field should already be highlighted, which means the only thing you should have to do is:

1) Copy something from a location outside of Accordance.

2) Click the "Add User Item" button.

3) Press "Cmd-V" on a Mac or "Ctrl-V" on a Windows computer.

What exactly is happening when you follow those steps?
