SJLumby
Is there a way to move the data files from VDUB’s Orthodox Study Bible app into latest Accordance iOS app instead of having to buy Accordance’s own OSB ?
ukfraser
Crossgrades are available on some items. Contact the sales team. Dont know about the orthodox study bible. Its worth keeping your eyes open for sales. There was a recent sale on study bibles and a discount off specific items. Again check out the main site. https://www.accordancebible.com/Crossgrades/
Timothy Jenney
No, it is not possible to port material from another app into Accordance. Sorry. Few people understand just how much work we put into resources—or how much value it adds to them. At the very least we add hypertext links, assign each bit of information to a data field, index those data fields for faster searching, align the Bible translations so they appear beside other translations verse-by-verse, do the same for reference material (like cross-references, Bibles notes, commentaries, etc.),. and otherwise ensure it works with all our searches and analytics. SJLumby
Thanks “Dr J”. I had assumed they were the same. Thanks for clarifying.
Daniel Francis
It is worth asking since some apps are made by companies as standalone and can be moved in....I have never tried it but I am guessing that all the separate apps sold by Olivetree could easily be merged into an OT account. Accordance though to the best of my knowledge has never have separate app releases for products that they sell. There is no ebook standard that would allow for us to move over from one brand to another. This is much like VideoCD/DVD/HDDVD/BluRay you may while own a movie in any or all of these formats and on the surface they appear the same but a BR disc will not function in a CDROM anymore than an HdDVD will work in a BR player. It would be nice if there was a universal format but then the copy you have from others may feel more poorly done version with links not functioning the same as the Accordance release. But I still would love the day all my books functioned under Accordance (though I don't see it happening anytime in the foreseeable future).... -dan Edited October 17, 2017 by Daniel Francis
