Problems after migration.

Accordance crashed or was not quit properly the last time it was used.

Would you like to recover the most recent autosaved session?

Has popped up and will not go away... I have tried every setting selected on the safe mode. and still no luck. I emailed tech this morning and called them this afternoon, seeing as they must be very busy i thought I would try here.

Have got the above message to finally go away and seem to have solved the issues of the few modules that were asking for codes but the long validating message of 10-15 seconds at the start of every starting of Accordance is still happening... and it is keeping me from using accordance offline. This is a very important thing to me as my internet is not reliable.

Daniel, if this has not cleared up yet, you might want to go ahead and contact Tech Support.

Of all things turned out the permissions on my Accordance folder in Application Support was messed up....

I have very similar problems.  After migrating from my old MacBook Pro to a new one, Accordance now puts up a Validating Accordance each and every time it is started.  Also, this fails to go away when there is no internet connection, so Accordance can no longer be used without an internet connection.  IF the problem is the permissions on the Application Support—>Accordance folder, then how must it be repaired?

Migrating Accordance is always problematic. I think your Accordance folder is in your HD/Library/Application Support but it needs to be in your user/Library/Application Support. Please contact our tech support for help in moving your files. It's better to do this than simply to change the permissions.

I emailed Tech Support.  Riccardo replied, instructed me to download and install TeamViewer and send him credentials, which I did.  He then connected to my computer and fixed the problem completely.  During the process, he asked me for permission to delete all of my Accordance preferences.  I somewhat reluctantly agreed, because I didn’t want to stop him from completely resolving my problems.  This meant that I had tp spend about a half hour going through all of the preferences to put everything back the way I want it.  It was worth the half hour.

Summary:  a very good support experience.

Note to Accordance staff:  Please make an effort to fix Accordance so that migration to a new computer, using Apple’s Migration Assistant, works without causing this problem.  Keep in mind that our computers are used for many other applications in addition to Accordance, so we will want to use Migration Assistant in order to move all of that other software, and the Migration Assistant does not conveniently allow us to choose to migrate other software without also moving Accordance.  It’s always better to avoid a problem completely than to have a good fix for it.

Thanks!

I don't think there is a good fix for this. The older location on the HD was preferred  up to version 9, and will not migrate with the correct permissions. It will certainly not migrate to the currently preferred location in the user Library.
