RichKat
Hello, Newby here. Loving it so far, but ran into something. First my system: Running Accordance 12.1.5 with the Greek and Hebrew Learner's on Windows 10 Pro with plenty of hard drive, RAM and an always on internet connection. Accordance is set to do automatic updates to both the program and the modules. Yesterday I came to work and the power was off (no internet) so I was going to do some offline study, on battery power, until the power would come back on. When I tried to run Accordance the only thing that would come up was the Quick Setup and it was trying to authenticate Accordance (although it had already done that and I was using it before) but since there was no internet connection, it couldn't authenticate and I was unable to use the program until the internet came back up. Now the problem is that I am regularly at church meetings where there is no Internet connection. So I can't take a chance on this happening at a critical time when I am expected to speak and relying on Accordance to do so. So a workaround is to turn off auto updates, but could there be some code added to check for an internet connection and if it doesn't find one then cancel the update and go ahead and run the program. That's assuming that this is what caused this to happen. Any help or insight would be appreciated. Blessings, Richard
Helen Brown
It should not need to authenticate Accordance again. If it does every time, you need to contact tech support for help. If you are on a payment plan you need to validate weekly, but can let us know ahead of time if you know you won't have internet for a week or more. RichKat
I'm not on a payment plan. I did contact technical support (or maybe the chat isn't considered tech support?) and they were puzzled and said I should post it here.
