Amplify compound words

Hello,

When I amplify a compound word (Greek), I want to search for the lexical form for the compound word. But Accordance instead searches for each of the lexical forms make up the word. This is not that useful when I amplify to MBG.

For instance, when I amplify περιέτεμεν in Acts 16:3 to MBG, I would like Accordance to search for περιτέμνω in MBG. But Accordance instead put (περί, τομός) in the search entry. As you can see, even if we want to search for the essential verbal part for the form, we would like to search for τέμνω than τομός. Still, περιτέμνω would be ideal for me to amplify on.

Is there anyway to make it search for περιτέμνω by default?

Thanks!

Mine went directly to περιτέμνω when I amplified from the word to Mounce Morphology.

Hello Helen,

Thank you so much for your reply.

This is so interesting. I used Keyboard Maestro to activate the menu entry Amplify to MBG, and used hyper key + 1 as my hot key trigger. It always went to the two parts in the parenthesis. So I never discover that the default result is to search for the lexical form for the compound word.

I changed the hot key to F4. It works like normal now.  :o  :P

I think the hyper key might be the source of the problem. It emulates Shift+CMD+Ctrl+Opt. I tried each individual key with the amplify menu, it all acted like normal. Maybe come kind of combination triggered the weird search I had...

Thanks!
