Paralipomenon II in Göttingen LXX should be top of the list for Greek tools

This is meant for those at Accordance who decide what book to do next.

Is someone already working on tagging and preparing the Paralipomenon II volume in the Göttingen series for Accordance? I would like to get it as soon as it is available.

We’ve shown steady commitment to the Göttingen LXX, so one can probably assume all volumes will eventually be available for Accordance Bible Software as they are made available to us.

As far as deciding what to do next, we always have multiple projects in development simultaneously. The LXXG volumes are more of a specialized work, but they are very important, so all of that is weighed. Plus, the morphological tagging is all done in house—that is, these texts don’t come to us that way; so this process takes a bit of time, too, but we think the extra wait is worth it.

Thank you. I know you guys will probably get it out eventually, I just thought I would be some noise to indicate there is a demand. The tagging is awesome and I know it takes a while to get that done before you can put out a new text, all the more reason I wanted to make sure/hope that someone is already working on it now.

Since this most recent volume was published (2014), is it likely that the publisher has not yet given access to the electronic text for you guys to tag?

Are you able to give a timeline of when we might expect this to be ready in Accordance?

Unfortunately, we aren’t able to offer a timeline; however, you can assume that chances are pretty good that we already have an etext from the publisher for a 2014 release ;-)
